India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India will unveil its new compact SUV ‘Vitara Brezza’ in the Delhi Auto Expo next month.
It will compete with Ford EcoSport, Mahin-dra TUV300, Renault Duster and Hyundai Creta which are priced in the range of Rs 6.79 lakh to Rs 13.77 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
“Brezza, Italian for ‘fresh breeze’, will be launched in the Indian market a few weeks after the Delhi Auto Expo,” said Maruti Suzuki in a statement.
The first sketch of Vitara Brezza points to a stylish compact SUV, designed to especially appeal the urban SUV customer. On the exterior, the designer has captured the essence of an SUV profile and infused it with the dynamism of urban vehicles. “Balanced proportion supported by square wheel arches, short overhangs, high ground clearance and upright hood gives the vehicle a confident stan-ce. The raising belt and rocker lines, and the roo-fline that slopes down gently towards the rear give the vehicle a dyna-mic posture,” it said.
Vitara Brezza is among the new line of vehicles in which engineers from Maruti have made a bigger contribution. Maruti Suzuki India chairman R.C. Bhargava had last year said royalty paid by the company to parent Suzuki for the compact SUV would be around four per cent.
