Hopefully GST will be implemented in the coming year: Finance Minister

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley addressed a session on ‘GST in India’ in New Delhi.

During an interactive session at New Delhi on Wednesday, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley spoke about the important of the proposed GST bill in India.

Jaitley said, “Nobody has the right to stop or stall the growth of India, it was an idea which was accepted by all political parties.” He added, “Despite a global slowdown, we are perhaps the only country in the World amongst major economies, which is managing to maintain a respectable growth.”

Staying optimistic, the Finance Minister said, “Over next few months or let's say in the coming year, we will be able to implement the GST, hopefully”.
