In a welcome move, Hero eases the two-wheeler buying process, as they kick start online booking of two-wheelers on their own official website. Hero, India’s largest two-wheeler maker based in Gurgaon, had already tied-up with the popular e-commerce website Snapdeal, through which many bike riders purchased Hero motorcycles.
However, the largest bike maker will not quit their 18 month old association with Snapdeal. They will continue to sell on the e-commerce platform, alongside their own online venture. On the Snapdeal platform, 5.2 lakh units have been sold so far. Manufacturers, these days, have been eyeing the online market, where they are continuing to increase their presence.
Despite being sold online, the delivery process, warranty facilities and service stations will still be available and will all remain the same, as it is with the traditional dealership units.
Just input some necessary details about yourself and pay Rs. 5000. Your online booking process will begin, after which you will be briefed about the delivery details. Following this process, you can then take delivery of the vehicle from your nearest dealer.
