Finance ministry gives nod to FDI worth Rs 4,722 crore
The finance ministry on Thursday approved 16 foreign investment (FDI) proposals, including that of HDFC Capital, which will result in an inflow of Rs 4,722 crore into the country.
The finance ministry on Thursday approved 16 foreign investment (FDI) proposals, including that of HDFC Capital, which will result in an inflow of Rs 4,722 crore into the country.
These proposals were recommended for clearance by FIPB in its meeting held on 29 September 2015. However, it rejected 8 proposals including that of Cipla Health Limited and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited. The HDFC Capital Advisors Limited proposal alone entails investments of Rs 2,400 crore.
The company sought approval for issue of units to Green Light. “HDFC Fund proposes to make investments in equity, equity linked instruments, redeemable preference shares, non-convertible debentures and other debt securities of listed or unlisted investee companies engaged in real estate construction development projects which are permitted under the SEBI AIF,” finance ministr said.
