Godrej eyes Rs 1,000 cr revenue from U&Us platform by FY25

Mumbai: Godrej & Boyce on Wednesday announced the launch of a new platform 'One Godrej' through its U&Us offerings, to consolidate all consumers durables businesses across the group to offer a holistic home solutions platform to the consumers.

The company plans to invest around Rs 50 crore over the next three years for the new business and expects the revenues of the U&Us platform to increase from the current Rs 20 crore to Rs 1,000 crore by 2025.

"One Godrej is an ideal platform to establish a dialogue with the consumers and showcase our offerings that are customised and integrated into an overall home interiors plan to become a one stop solution for their requirements," Godrej & Boyce executive director Nyrika Holkar told reporters here.

U&Us, which has already invested Rs 10 crore in technology, plans to strengthen its reach in 20 key markets in the country with an expanded network of 50 centres by 2025.

"Of these, seven large format One Godrej experience centres will be operational across seven markets in FY20. We have recently opened our first centre at Thane in Maharashtra. We are expecting U&Us to touch revenues of Rs 1,000 crore by fiscal 2025 from the current Rs 20 crore," Godrej Interio chief operating officer (COO) Anil Mathur said.

He further said that the furniture market in India is estimated to grow over Rs 50,000 crore and Godrej Interio is expecting to grow steadily at 15-20 percent in the coming years.
