Hyderabad: With a growing offline presence, Motorola is now targeting 50 per cent of its total smartphone sales in India to come from offline channels, a top official said here on Wednesday.
Speaking to the media, Motorola Mobility India MD Sudhin Mathur said, “Our sales trends are opposite to the industry figures. Only one-third of our sales comes from offline channels compared to two-thirds for the industry.”
He added, “We hope to see the figure touch 50 per cent in the near future.”
Mr Mathur, who was in Hyderabad, launched the MotoHub — an exclusive ministore — inside the premises of retail chain BigC. Motorola hopes such partnerships will help grow its offline presence.
