Mumbai: Bharti Airtel has launched a Rs 244 plan to counter Reliance Jio's latest offering Dhan Dhana Dhan that comes at a price of Rs 309, according to NDTV.

Airtel, country's largest telecom operator, has already taken up its grievances against Reliance Jio with Telecom Disputes Settlement Appellate Tribunal. TDSAT has posted the matter for a detailed hearing for April 20.

Bharti Airtel under its new offering is giving its users unlimited local and STD calls on home network and unlimited 4G data with a cap of 1GB usage everyday for just Rs 244. The 1GB data per day will be given for 70 days.

And, for Rs 345 an Airtel user will get unlimited calls plus 2GB data everyday for 28 days.  Airtel's Rs 399 plan promises free local and STD calls on any network and 1 GB/day data for 70 days.

Bharti Airtel website says an Airtel pre-paid user can make an online payment for a recharge of their own choice to avail these plans. Latest offerings from Bharti Airtel come days after Reliance Jio launched Dhan Dhana Dhan plan.

Last week, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India had advised Reliance Jio to withdraw its Summer Surprise, an offer within Jio Prime paid service that promised 1GB data every day for three months at Rs 303.
