Italian manufacturer, Benelli, is all set to storm Milan by launching 10 new bikes. In November, Benelli will launch 250cc and 750cc versions of the RK adventure tourer along with an all-new 400cc offering at the 2017 EICMA Motorcycle Show.

A total of 10 new models will be showcased at EICMA, featuring a bike in every segment. The Italian company is also working on entry-level single-cylinder motorcycles from 150cc to 250cc, which will make their way to showrooms next year. However, which among the said models will make their way to India is yet to be confirmed.
The new 250cc, 750cc and 400cc bikes will showcase the same parallel-twin setup as seen on the 302R and TRK 502 bikes, but with different frames. As the new motor employs only two cylinders, Benelli will be able to cut down on costs; this, in turn, can help the company in launching its new models in India as well.

In an interview with Paultan.org, Dante Bustos, Benelli Marketing Director For Americas, Asia and Africa regions, confirmed the development of the new TRK models, saying: “In terms of engine platforms, we are seeking to expand very rapidly in these two segments, the 400 and 750, and we will have different type of frames in different types of bikes. We cannot release too many models in a year, but we plan to release a 250, a 400 and 750 between 2018 and 2019.”

The Benelli TRK 250 is expected to compete with the likes of the Honda CRF250L, Kawasaki Versys-X 250 and Suzuki V-Strom 250 in the entry-level tourer segment, while the TRK 750 will take on the likes of the Triumph Tiger 800 and the Kawasaki Versys 650

Along with the new bikes, the existing Benelli TNT 300 will get revised design lines and a new headlight. Benelli is also looking at updating its current range with riding aids, while doubling down on its ambitions of developing an electric motorcycle in the future as well.
