The fact that Varun Dhawan is an ardent fan of wrestler Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is known to all. Recently, while promoting his upcoming film Dishoom, the actor put on his game face and impersonated the former WWE wrestler. The video soon caught the Hollywood star’s attention, who took to his social media handle to applaud Varun for his efforts.
Dwayne wrote, “Great Rock promo impersonation by my bud and Bollywood star Varun Dhawan.” To this, an ecstatic Varun replied: “Can I take part in #RockThePromo Dj. I mite make it as a cruiserweight @TheRock”(sic.)
Varun and Dwayne’s friendship began about a year ago when the former’s fans got together and requested Dwayne to record a birthday message for him. Since then, the two often send out Twitter shoutouts and acknowledge each other’s works.
On the work front, Varun is gearing up for the release of Dishoom which also stars John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez. On the other hand, Dwayne will next be seen in Baywatch which also features Priyanka Chopra.
