Is it a faux pas or an inside joke Deepika Padukone was heard addressing her Tamasha co-star Ranbir Kapoor as ‘bro’, not once but twice, during at least two public events. Naturally, this was cause for much amusement among the film’s team members.
Says an insider, “Everyone knows that Deepika and Ranbir were in a relationship. And now she calls him ‘bro’ in public. What does that make him ” This insider goes on to point out that this could well be Ranbir’s idea to pacify Katrina Kaif who apparently doubts if his relationship with Deepika has had a proper closure. “Katrina’s friends tell her Ranbir still has feelings for Deepika. To set Katrina’s mind at rest Ranbir suggested that Deepika call him ‘bro’.”
However, a source from the Tamasha team says it’s just for fun. “The ‘bro’ thing between them is nothing but a joke. Not to be taken seriously by anyone, not even by Katrina.”
