Tara Alisha Berry, who was last seen in Mastram, will now be seen sharing screen space with Gaurav Arora and Patralekhaa in Vikram Bhatt’s Love Games. The actress plays the role of Alisha, who is in an abusive relationship, then falls in love with Gaurav’s character. Tara reveals that the role was a challenging one for her to essay. She says, “One might find that the character is similar to me but Alisha is an introvert who carries her pain with her. I am not that way at all — I am loud and high on energy.”
Tara, will also be seen in two more films from the Bhatts. So, how does it feel to be called the blue-eyed girl of the Bhatt camp She says, “The Bhatts are my mentors. I am blessed to have an opportunity to act as a Bhatt heroine. They show their women characters very refined and powerful. I have also signed on a three-film deal with the Bhatts but I can’t reveal much about it.”
It was in California while studying for a film course that she realised her penchant for acting. Tara recalls, “I was in California for my film course but soon I realized that I couldn’t direct films. I love writing and acting. I have written few scripts too. I feel I am more of an on-camera person.”
Tara has only good things to say about her co-stars Patralekhaa and Gaurav. She says, “Gaurav is a hard working and really passionate guy. I think he is a complete package and has a long way to do. Patralekha and I know each other before we could even sign the film. I was excited to work with her the moment from the moment I was told that she is my co-star.”
Tara also claims that she is not a star kid despite of sharing her roots for Saif Ali Khan and Sikander Kher’s family. She says, “Well I am not a star kid. My parents got divorced when I was 9 or may be 10-year-old. Hence, I was totally secluded from my extended family. My maternal aunt is Sharmila Tagore’s sister. I met Saif Ali Khan maybe twice as a kid but later didn’t meet him or his family. Sikander Kher, too, is my stepsibling. He is too funny.”
