Sonu’s emotional moment

Sonu Nigam broke down at Y Films’ launch of the first-ever transgender band, “6 Pack Band”. Sonu, who will feature with the band in six of their music videos, was present to launch their first single Hum Hain Happy online.

Sonu explained why the initiative — which brought together six transgender individuals from Mumbai to form the band — affected him so much: “When I was quite popular in ’90s, I always wanted to do something for the transgender community. I love their innocence, the way they would sing my songs When I was little, I used to wonder ‘what if I had been born this way ’ This was why I said yes to the initiative.”
