Sohail Khan: How can Salman play a small part

Sohail Khan is happy with the response to his directorial flick, Freaky Ali, the film about an accidental golfer.

Did you know Salman wanted a role in Freaky Ali alongside Nawaz Interestingly, it was Sohail who firmly turned down the request. “Bhai wanted a role, any role, in the film,” confirmed Sohail. “I had to say a firm NO,” he confessed, continuing, “How can an actor of Salman’s stature play a small part He will be a distraction in every frame that he appears. Instead, I requested him to lend us the name of his production house and its infrastructure, so that we would have a good backing for our endeavour!”

As the conversation veers towards Salman’s marriage, Sohail sighs in exasperation. “You know this is a 7-year-old question! he exclaims, “The entire family wants to know when Bhai will marry. We have no answer. Even Bhai has no answer,” he adds.

Sohail confirms the rumours that Amy Jackson declined from appearing on Comedy Nights Bachao. “Well it is true. Wonderful girl that she is, Amy does have a problem with the kind of humour Krushna Abhishek subjects his guests to. Also, her Hindi is not up to the mark. Amy managed with Kapil Sharma, but Krushna was way beyond her capacity. Besides, she was shooting in Chennai for the sequel of Robot. We exempted her from the ordeal of being on Comedy Night Bachao,” laughs Sohail.
