According to a source, “It was a couple of months ago that Shah Rukh and Imtiaz met for a script reading. SRK takes his script reading very seriously. He meets the director multiple times, understands the story, lets the character soak in and also gives feedback and suggests changes such that both parties are willing to work around and accommodate. After many such discussions, Shah Rukh has given a nod to work on Imtiaz’s film.”
Although only the core team members know the basic plot of the film, word is that it is a romantic story. “It is definitely a romantic film and Imtiaz will try to present Shah Rukh in a very new avatar. Keeping SRK’s stardom in mind, he would try and break the clichés and uncover a new side to the actor.”
Meanwhile Shah Rukh is still left to shoot some part of Raees, which he will finish by January. Fan is completely shot and is almost ready. If all goes well, Shah Rukh will start shooting for Imtiaz’s film in the first half of 2016.
Shah Rukh has now decided that he’d like to do three films in a year. We know of the one that’s earned its spot, let’s see which other filmmakers make the cut next year.
