While they were once inseparable friends, Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan don’t wish to come face-to-face anymore, or so it seems. After he learned of Sanjay’s presence at an event organised to celebrate World Environment Day on June 5, Salman apparently opted out of making an appearance for the occasion at the last minute.
The cold war between Salman and Sanjay seems to be building up for a while now. Everything was fine between the pals till Sanjay was released from his five-year prison sentence. Salman had promised to give his buddy a grand welcome-home party at his farmhouse in Panvel. The celebrations, however, never happened. In fact, the two haven’t even met since Sanjay’s release.
Apparently, Salman was made aware that Ranbir Kapoor was to play Sanjay’s role in the upcoming biopic on the star’s life, which is to be directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Considering him to be the reason behind Katrina Kaif’s recent romantic grief, Salman requested Sanjay to reconsider this casting. Helpless, Sanjay demurred that it was Rajkumar’s decision to cast Ranbir in the role. Besides, Sanjay is extremely fond of Ranbir, and saw no reason to disallow him from being cast in the biopic.
Salman though is not known to take snubs. Despite the two being pals, Sallu seems to have taken Sanjay’s collaboration with the man who loved and left Katrina, to heart.
