When the two came on the sets of a television show to promote their film, Deepika seemed uncomfortable with Ranveer’s below-the-belt antics
A team member from Comedy Nights With Kapil has revealed that it was not easy for Deepika Padukone to indulge in the toilet humour and flirty banter on the show with Ranveer Singh, when they came to promote Bajirao Mastani.
Says the member from the Comedy Nights team, “A gig was planned around Ranveer enacting how a royal would sit on the commode. Some of us found it vulgar. And we could see that Deepika was not comfortable with the toilet humour at all. But she went along with it only for the sake of supporting Ranveer’s masti.”
A filmmaker who knows the actress closely, says, “She is trying to mould her personality in accordance with Ranveer’s. She is trying to be an outgoing, gregarious, fun person when she’s actually a quiet and subdued person. She is like Waheeda Rehman but she’s trying to be Mumtaz.” But there are others who swear by Deepika’s fun side. “She is constantly trying to have fun. It’s rather cute to see her trying to match Ranveer’s energy level,” says a source close to her.
