Purab Kohli has never taken the beaten path as far as films are concerned. He started his journey playing a homosexual in Onir’s My Brother Nikhil at a time when most debutants would have seen it as a hazardous step in their career. Over the years he has done several interesting, offbeat roles and now Purab is excited to play a prisoner in Nikhil Advani’s television series Prisoners of War.
A source close to the actor reveals, “For a certain part of this mega television series Purab is expected to go completely bald. He plays a man who escapes from the prison and lands back at his home in Punjab to reconnect with the life he missed while he was in jail. The series is expected to go on air later this year.” When contacted Purab said, “We will mostly need to get my character to shave his head. So I might go completely bald in a week or so. It’s necessary for the character as a certain portion of the show requires me to be in that look.”
