Padmavati’s battle sequence to cost Rs 12 crore

The climactic battle sequence of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati is expected to be the most spectacular battle ever fought on-screen. This one scene alone will cost Rs 12 crore.

A reliable source reveals, “Unlike the prolonged and FX-saturated battle scene in Baahubali, there will be no CGIs in SLB’s battle finale. Blood spatters and severed limbs are a strict no-no. The entire battle scenario is being sketched blow-by-blow on paper, so that it is completely authentic. The execution of the sequence will require a minimum of 15 of the stars’ dates.”

Padmavati producers, Viacom 18 are taking no chances with the project’s production costs. “No effort will be spared to make Padmavati the most lavish costume drama to be shot in India,” asserts a source from the production house.
