My mother wasn’t happy with One Night Stand: Tanuj Virwani

Rati Agnihotri’s son Tanuj Virwani, who will be seen next in the film One Night Stand, is yet to see success in Bollywood. His last two films Purani Jeans and Love You Soniyo vanished without a trace. In this film, he has teamed up with Sunny Leone, a move his mother was not initially pleased about. Tanuj says, “Well, being a mother, she was initially a little concerned. She had issues with the title of the film but later when she read the script, she supported me. She understood that the film is not another sex flick, but a mature film. She even met Sunny Leone on the sets and liked her a lot.”

Explaining the long hiatus between his last film and this one, the actor says that he wanted to take a break. “I took time to assess myself as an actor. I wanted to choose the right script. I don’t want to get trapped in a certain image and for this film I had to step out of my comfort zone,” he said. In One Night Stand Tanuj plays a guy named Urvil, who is a successful event organiser. “He is a good guy but has a dark side. He has a one night stand with Sunny’s character, after which his entire life changes.” Was he nervous doing intimate scenes with Sunny “No, everyone including Sunny made me very comfortable on the sets.”
