While working on ‘Barfi’, Anurag Basu and Ranbir had decided to make the biopic

: While working on ‘Barfi’, Anurag Basu and Ranbir Kapoor had decided to make a biopic on Kishore Kumar. However, things didn’t fall in place and now the project has been shelved.
Apparently there was not just one, but a few major problems which led to this development. The major reason being the films' cast. The makers couldn’t get the cast they wanted on board. Also, Ranbir’s family members were not happy with the script. Hence, several factors played spoilsport.
Ranbir is gearing up for the release of ‘Tamasha’ starring Deepika Padukone and 'Jagga Jasoos' starring Katrina Kaif. He recently wrapped up shooting for ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ with Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The actor will soon begin shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s superhero film. Soon after that, he will start preparing for Sanjay Dutt’s biopic which goes on floors later next year. The film which will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
