Kareena Kapoor feels that her upcoming film, Ki And Ka, is actually different. Present at the trailer launch held in Mumbai, the actress shared that every actor promotes films saying that their film is different but she is genuinely proud of this one. She also revealed that when she showed the trailer to hubby Saif, he was quite pleasantly surprised by what he saw.
While Kareena Kapoor is playing a marketing head in the film, Arjun Kapoor plays a homemaker. At the launch, Kareena praised Arjun’s cooking skills as she shares, “Arjun should host Masterchef soon and also give some cooking tips to Saif because he is not a great cook. Once he made pasta for me in 12 hours!”
Meanwhile, Arjun thanked Saif for praising his act in Ki And Ka, saying, “Saif has sent me a message congratulating me for my bravery in doing such a role. I am glad because this appreciation is coming from such a great actor.”
Kareena has always been known for playing unconventional roles. When asked about her experience of shooting for her character in this film, she said, “I am totally a director’s actor. I don’t come to the set with any preconceived notions. It is a wonderful and happy film.”
She added, “I am also not breaking any norms by playing this kind of role in the film or working with a younger actor like Arjun. I have worked with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan because they are actors and Arjun is an actor too. I never hide my age. I am happy about how old I am!”
Arjun, when quizzed about whether Indian society is still patriarchal, said, “Whatever we show in films is what actually happens in society. Our film is about equality and choices. If two people in a relationship don’t have any issues about each other’s choices then who is anyone else to question them ”
He also shared his experience of shooting in the kitchen for the film. “I had to undergo 15 days of cooking training for my role. You can see an injury and stitches on my fingers too. I learned everything from picking utensils to chopping veggies!” he said.
