The actress talks about what she relates to in her latest role, Ranbir Kapoor and more.

Katrina’s latest flick opposite Siddharth Malhotra Baar Baar Dekho is all about exploring love through time travel, and if Kat wants something in her past different, what would it be “I am a very sensitive girl, I always worry about little things. So, if at all I would like to improve my past, it would be only one thing — to shed all my worries and live a carefree life.”

Adding that ‘time is a great healer’, she says, “When we look back and ponder over the past, it definitely looks like we were fools to worry about those things, which seem to be nothing now.”

Relating to her character’s struggles in the film she says, “During my highs and lows, I have my mother’s shoulders to rest on. My biggest support is my faith in God. I always like to trend on a positive note. This enables me to move forward in life.”

So, has being in this profession of glitz and glamour made Kat thick-skinned “Not at all. I am very sensitive, no matter what may come and go. I do feel sad if unpleasant things happen. I have been here for almost 10 years now. So I feel I am very lucky as the audience has accepted my films with open arms. There could be a few films which I did when I had other priorities in life, but I don’t regret anything. I have done something with all my heart which may have ruined my films to a certain extent, but it’s okay. However, I am lucky because there are many actors who work hard yet their films have not fared well at the box office.

On her friendship with Siddharth, Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra, Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur, whom she recently toured the US with, she says, “We had great fun. Alia is a cute, fun-filled girl while Parineeti had lots of jokes to share. We all enjoyed this trip so much and we three shared a great girly bond.”

On the rumours that she was the reason behind the delay of Jagga Jasoos, Katrina says, “The delay is not because of me. We all are aware that Anuraag Basu is a prolific filmmaker and has a different style of making movies. He first shoots, then edits and writes the script again, and shoots again. I am busy with the promotions of Baar Baar Dekho and after that I will shoot for Karan’s film. Jagga Jasoos needs just 20 more days of shoot.”

About Ranbir Kapoor’s recent comments about how much their relationship still means to him, she says, “Right from the start of my film career, I never liked to talk about my personal life. I share happenings in my professional life through Facebook and Instagram. Social media is a platform where everyone has the right to express their opinion and I don’t want to take away anything negative with me,” Katrina says.
