Television actor Suyyash Rai is the latest contestant to be evicted from the Bigg Boss house. He was ousted after a 12-week stint at the show. With three weeks to the finale, the actor is understandably disappointed to be out of the game. “It’s not a good feeling. I was so close to the finale! Getting evicted at this stage saddens me, but I’m glad to be back with my family. Maybe the show needed me only till this point,” he says.
Often accused of pandering to the demands of his girlfriend Kishwar Merchant, Suyyash feels that it was just an expression of the close bond they shared. “I was not a puppet. But obviously I can’t change people’s opinions. I was one of the few lucky ones, to have my partner with me inside the house. But neither Prince nor I were overshadowed by Kishwer. In fact I was the one who used to tell her what is right and what is wrong,” he asserts.
Though he is not sure of the real reason for being shown the door, he admits that his stay was a life changing experience. “I was in the house for 84 days and my brain had started going numb. I lost my appetite. I don’t know the reason why I’m out but according to the voting list that my sister has, it was Rishabh who had received the lowest votes. Before this stint, I was happy doing a daily soap, but my track was going nowhere. And then Bigg Boss happened. I took the risk and it turned out to be a life-changing experience,” he adds.
Suyyash, who was often seen picking fights with Mandana, feels that she is not being her true self on the show. “Mandana is a nice human being but I don’t know why is she showing her heartless side to the world. Maybe her publicist has asked her to do this. Because there are times she’s just fine and then suddenly she starts crying and fighting,” he says.
Keith and Mandana maybe seen as strong contenders vying for the trophy, but Suyyash is rooting for girlfriend Kishwar. “She is a strong contender, both physically and mentally. She has the maximum chances of winning the show.” He continues, “Now that I’m out of the show, I’m sure she will miss me. She has the habit of holding my hand and sleeping But she has promised me that she will come out stronger. We were hoping that we’d celebrate our five years of togetherness on January 9. I’ll miss her badly on that day.”
