I want to work with Katrina Kaif: Manish Paul
Being funny looks easy on screen but it is on of the most difficult things to do.

Being funny looks easy on screen but it is on of the most difficult things to do.
After his catastrophe debut ‘Mickey Virus’, Television host turned actor, Manish Paul is all set to tickle your funny bone with second edition of ‘Tere Bin Laden’ franchise, ‘Tere Bin Laden: Dead Or Alive’. In a quick chat with DC, Manish talks about his role, bonding with Karan Johar and secret desire to work with Katrina Kaif.
What was your reaction when ‘Tere Bin Laden’ was offered to you I wasn’t nervous but excited to sign the film at the earliest. I never had the baggage of taking the franchise ahead. I was happy to get the lead role in the film but later my friends made me realise that it is the matter of responsibility.
What is your role all about in ‘Tere Bin Laden’ I am playing the role of Sharma whose father is a confectioner and he doesn’t want to run the family business. He aspires to become a film director and struggles to get a film and soon after Laden dies. What happens next is what to look forward.
Was it difficult to play a role in the satire since you are considered as a comic host Absolutely. Each day was so difficult on the sets. Being funny looks easy on screen but it is on of the most difficult things to do.
Why did you sign your second film after such a long gap of your debut debacle Surprisingly, ‘Mickey Virus’ gave me lot of appreciation from everyone. Box office collections were not in my hands. Interestingly, I was only offered lead roles after my debut. I took my own time to choose the apt script.
People say that since you are a comic host so it was easy to do comedy films I never think what people say about me. I am an artist. I will do things what are good for me.
What is more challenging for you, TV hosting or acting I still get nervous when I host but I got the hang of it now. Acting is a new area for me but I am a director’s actor.
There is a trend of adult comedies off late, being a comic hero what is your take on it I feel it is more or less like demand and supply. People watch films to get entertained.
You are close friends with Karan Johar since ‘Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa’, did he ever approach you for any projects Though we are close friends, we never talk work with each other. If he will feel any suitable role for me, he will definitely call me.
Any dream actress you want to work with in Bollywood Katrina Kaif she is stunning and I would love to work with her.
