Vicky Kaushal, who made his acting debut with Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana and was later seen in Bombay Velvet and made a bigger mark with his performance in the much-acclaimed Masaan. His film Zubaan however, didn’t cause much flutter at the box office earlier this year. The trailer of his latest film starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Raman Raghav 2.0 although is very gripping.

Vicky is seen playing a cop in the film. “I had a clear idea about my character Raghav in the film. I isolated myself from my family and friends; I told them to ignore me and not talk to me when I was around before the shoot and during the shoot of the film,” says the actor.

Elaborating on the character he adds, “My character on screen required me to be a person dealing with struggles and conflict, so it was necessary for me to adapt to the role. I disconnected myself from the outside world. I would not interact with anyone before the shoot, during the prep and during the entire 20-day-long schedule. This helped me a lot in the portrayal of my character Raghav.”

The actor is elated about the film’s international attention. “The movie has already been creating a buzz. It also received a standing ovation at Cannes Film Festival. It has an amazing cast and crew and I think the movie will surely do well,” Vicky said.
