Being glamorous is a feeling

Bollywood star Katrina Kaif has made a place for herself in the glam world of films. She is very vocal about her glam or d’glam characters. When quizzed by one of her fans during the Mami festival, Kaitrina stated very clearly, ‘It’s actually the character which you have to play. However, it so happens that sometimes the audiences create an image in their minds and like to go by it. We cannot change it for them. Indeed, I am a woman and I look the way I do. I cannot change my looks.”

Giving a befitting example, Kats adds,” I remember, for all my commercial films that I have done with Aneeze Bazmee and director David Dhawan, I would get my own costumes. No one has ever objected to any of my choice. However, this was not the case with director Prakash Jha, when I was doing Rajneeti; Prakash Jha himself bought the cotton saris for me. That was a scary moment for me. But he was hands on with what he wanted.” She further comments, “My character in the film, Rajneeti can be tagged as a d’glam role.”

She also feels, “Glamour or d’glam comes from within. Even if you are wearing loads of make up or flashy clothes, and if you don’t have that feeling from within you at that moment, you may not look glamorous, instead you may totally feel d’glamed!!”
