Ashutosh Gowariker’s style of filmmaking is known for how much attention he pays to details. Besides the sets and the costumes, the director also likes to make sure that the music score of his films hit all the right notes. Little wonder then that he collaborates with the best every time — A.R. Rahman. The music maestro has come up with an impressive score yet again for Gowariker’s latest, Mohenjo Daro.

We hear that the perfectionist director wanted the music to be changed slightly in some of the scenes. A source told this publication, “Rahman was told about this and he readily agreed. He was in Chennai at that time but he has his own music studio in Mumbai too. When Ashutosh reached out to him, he flew into the city the very next day. The film is very close to both of them and they want to give it everything they can.” It was a day’s job as the source further adds. “Only after those changes were made, did Ashutosh release the final print of the film. He is happy that the film is ready just the way he wanted it.”

Starring Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde, the film is set to release on Independence Day weekend along with Rustom. Ashutosh will fly to Switzerland in a few days to attend the Locarno International Film Festival where Mohenjo Daro will be the closing film.
