While Priyanka Chopra continues to make India proud with every starry move she makes in the West, the Quantico actress clearly seems to think she isn’t doing enough. After becoming the first South Asian to bag the award for the Favourite Actress in a New TV Series at the People’s Choice Awards, now the actress has managed to get a golden ticket to the biggest award show in Hollywood, the Oscars. PC will be joining the ranks of Steve Carell, Quincy Jones and Andy Serkis as a presenter at the soon to be held Academy Awards.

An elated Priyanka took to Twitter to express her excitement: “Looking forward @TheAcedemy!! This will be an insaaaane night!”PC’s road to the Oscars was a long and winding one that began somewhere back in 2015 when she made her first international appearance at the Grammy Awards after-party. The superstar began 2016 with a bang, bagging her first international award at the People’s Choice Awards. And with the spotlight on her she was all set to shine as she walked the red carpet at the 2016 BAFTA tea party. Last week she turned presenter for the Screen Actors Guild Awards where she presented Kevin Spacey with the Best Actor in a Drama Series award. Priyanka had a little trouble opening the envelope there. But with the Academy Awards following their standard practice of holding a special rehearsal for all their presenters prior to the show, PC will have little to worry about this time round.
