Rumours were rife that there was a definite tension between the two for a very long time. This was quite obvious at the opening of the Mami Film Festival on Friday where a very clear moment of awkwardness occurred between Abhishek and Katrina for everyone to see.
A star, who was a direct witness to the tense encounter comments, “Abhishek is by nature, a very warm and gregarious person. When he arrived at Mami, he greeted his colleagues with a warm hug. But when he met Katrina, he froze and finally hugged her lightly. Their stiff, reluctant body language said it all.”
While know-alls attribute the Abhishek-Katrina cold war to the ‘Salman’ factor, the reason for their fall-out is very different. Says a source, “Katrina has turned down at least six-seven films with Abhishek. If she thinks he is not aware of her refusal to work with him, then she is highly deluded.”
