Beijing says wants strategic partnership with Islamabad

Islamabad: Chinese President Xi Jinping has expressed the resolve to transform the Pak-China friendship into a strategic partnership for the betterment of the people of the two countries.

In a letter to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on the occasion of his 67th birthday, the Chinese President assured his full support for the completion of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

Xi Jinping said that people of the two countries should benefit from the friendship, adding that China attached  immense importance to the CPEC projects.

The Chinese President also congratulated the Pakistan Prime Minister on his birthday and prayed for his good health and success.
