Naagin dances have been popular at Indian weddings for years. And taking a cue from the age-old grooves of baraatis at desi weddings, actor Vatsal Sheth, who plays protagonist Aarav Trivedi on the show Rishton ka Saudagar Baazigar, broke into a dramatic naagin dance sequence while filming a baraat scene. So much so, that he didn’t even realise when it gave him a bruised leg.

Talking about the act, he shares, “I tried various styles of dancing but all seemed dull onscreen. So I decided to change the image of men dancing at baraats and started doing the naagin dance, which by the way, was too much fun. I have seen Sridevi and Mallika Sherawat do the dance, but to enact the same and not look stupid onscreen was a major concern. I got so involved in the dance that I didn’t realise when my kurta tore off and my leg started bleeding because of rolling on the floor. It’ll however be the most memorable dance for me.”
