Naved-Sayeeda win Power Couple

Amidst much fanfare, Naved and Sayeeda Jaffrey were crowned winners at the grand finale of reality show, Power Couple. Naved and Sayeeda defeated finalists Vindu Dara Singh-Dina and Shawar Ali-Marcella to clinch the title of India’s first ever power couple. As winners, the two took home the cash prize of '50 lakhs along with the coveted trophy.

Sharing his excitement over the big win, Naved says, “I am excited about the win because I competed with a lot of youngsters and emerged as a winner. We honestly did not believe we would be able to pull off all the stunts. The win is still sinking in. Sayeeda and I signed up because we wanted to spend quality time and further strengthen our already strong relationship. The show has given us much more than what we had expected.”

Sayeeda echoes Naved’s sentiments. She says, “More than winning, I think I got a chance to witness a different side to my husband. It was a pleasant surprise to see him do daredevil stunts. I am so proud of him. He is a rockstar. We are still in awe and figuring out what to do. I guess we will celebrate by going bungee jumping.”

So how did the couple manage to clinch the title considering the competition was quite fierce Naved says, “A mix of patience and presence of mind did the trick for us. While doing stunts I never rushed. A lot of celebrities did the stunts in a rush and they ended up making mistakes. I feel ten years younger now. Everyone tells me that I am quite the daredevil too!”
