Divya Dutta has taken over as host for the latest season of Savdhaan India on Life OK. Speaking about her stint on the show she says, “It’s a show that’s putting the scene of crime upfront. Audiences look at me as someone whose word is taken as trustworthy. All I had to do is be sincere and make sure that the audience connects with me”

Divya admits that as a woman, she has been a victim of crime herself. She says, “I have faced eve teasing but I was the stronger kinds, who could stand up for herself. People call eve-teasing as petty, and I think we have a problem right there.” Since this is Divya’s first stint as a host, she admits that she has been looking at Amitabh Bachchan as a reference point. She says, “Mr Amitabh Bachchan, absolutely. Everything he does is so gripping. I’ve been fortunate to work with him a couple of times and now I will seek inspiration from him.”

So is she open to more to offers “I enjoy hosting so for now I’ll stick to shows like this one.”
