Participants on The Voice India Kids had a special training session this week, one that isn’t directly related to the vocal chords. The young participants were part of a yoga session conducted by Baba Ramdev. Giving the young singers tips to destress during the competition, he taught them breathing exercises such as pranayam and kapal bhati. In addition, he also taught them some asanas to exercise the throat.

Vishwaprasad Ganagi, a contestant from Team Neeti, who has been practising yoga for many years now was seen in a yoga face-off with Ramdev too. Quite naturally, he beat little Ganagi to it.

Reacting to the special guest on the show, coach Shekhar said, “Babaji came on the show and made all of us do yoga. The contestants felt so relaxed and refreshed after the session that we could actually feel it in their performance that followed, and it was amazing. He spent some quality time with the contestants, praising and encouraging them for their talent. It was a very kind gesture on his part.”
