Huawei to roll out Android Nougat for Honor 8 in all countries

The new update includes EMUI 5.0 that made its debut with Huawei Mate 9.

It may take few weeks for the company to propagate all the Honor 8 devices across the globe.

Last week, Huawei Japan confirmed that the unlocked Honor 8 units will start receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update on January 16. Less than a week after the roll out in Japan, there are reports that the update is pushed in other countries as well.

The new update includes EMUI 5.0 that made its debut with Huawei Mate 9. The screenshots showed in a report shows that the update's weight is nearly 2.27 GB. Interestingly, the update for the Honor 8 in Japan is much lighter and weighs 1.97 GB by comparison, meaning there might be some additional stuff included in the international update.

The complete changelog for the Honor 8's international Android 7.0 Nougat update is not available. It may take few weeks for the company to propagate all the Honor 8 devices across the globe.
