Earlier reports suggested that the Nokia X6 aka Nokia 6.1 Plus will first debut in Hong Kong and recent leaks indicated that the smartphone would be first launched in Taiwan. And the initial report turns out to be true, HMD Global has finally launched the Nokia 6.1 Plus Android One smartphone in Hong Kong. Additionally, the company launched the Nokia X6 back in May in China and the Nokia 6.1 Plus is just a global variant based on the Android One program.

At its core, the handset runs on an octa-core Snapdragon 636 chipset, paired with a 4GB of RAM and a 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 400GB. There is a 5.8-inch full HD+ display notch with 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and sports a 19:9 aspect ratio. It is backed by a 3060mAh battery, with support for Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

In terms of optics, the device sports a 16MP+5MP dual rear camera setup and a 16MP camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture. The company is touting the presence of AI-based features for better photography. Connectivity options on the Nokia 6.1 Plus include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus is priced at HKD 2,288 (approximately Rs 20,100) and comes in Blue and White colour options.
