The Honor 20i boasts of a triple camera setup at the back, plus a 32 MP Selfie clicker.

The company recently launched a range of flagship devices -- the Honor 20.

Honor, the e-brand of Huawei has built itself on disruptive camera technology and design flowing from its global and local R&D. The brand has successfully busted the myth that flagship-level cameras need higher megapixel counts. Ditto for battery capacity. Honor has created batteries with intelligent optimization that provides sustained performance often at a capacity of less than 4000 mAh.

The company recently launched a range of flagship devices -- the Honor 20 -- and we got our hands on the 20i, the most affordable of the lot. The first thing that stands out is the clever mix of camera specs the 20i comes with a 32 MP front camera with a range of AI-driven innovations to ensure that the selfie performance is optimum even in low-light. The rear camera comes with a 24 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP configuration, where the second and third lenses are ultra-wide and depth sensors. Together, they provide detailed and crisp images with well-defined edges and natural colour.

For a brand that spearheaded gradient design in smart phones, it is no surprise that the 20i features something called 3D photolithography that uses an 8-layer coating and molding design or the back cover, including a silk screen printing, high-pressure molding and precise electroplating. The result is a tasteful gradient of blue and purple, one that is not blingy, nor boring.

The 6.21 inches device comes with an FHD+ bezel-less display and a comfortable hand-feel that makes for good single hand usage, thanks to its curved and smooth edges. Powered by Huawei's Kirin 710 chipset, the 20i also features antennae that are strategically located for better range and quick connectivity when switched on. Priced at Rs. 14,999 (4 GB + 128 GB), the Honor 20i is a good buy for its tasteful mix of specs and performance.
