While the whole world eagerly waits for the Galaxy Note 10, Samsung has totally different plans regarding announcements to make of their upcoming new devices and it may not be the much anticipated Galaxy Note 10. Samsung is going to uncover two new tablets in the coming months, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2019 and the Galaxy Tab Active Pro.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2019 is supposed to be a budget tablet, a lower-priced model as part of its Galaxy Tab A line-up. Earlier, Samsung launched the USD 230 Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2019) with an Exynos 7904A processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 10.1 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display. And now as everything stands, the new Galaxy Tab A 8.0 2019 will be a more affordable alternative to the former one. The new tablet with a model number of SM-T295 will have an 8inch, 1280x800 pixel display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 429 processor (quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU + Adreno 504 graphics), 2GB RAM, 32GB storage and will run on Android 9 Pie. It may not have an S-Pen, a fingerprint sensor, and could lack NFC. It could reasonably sell around USD 150 to USD 200.

Based on a trademark filed for the name “Tab Active Pro” on June 13 with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), listed as a “tablet computer”, it seems Samsung is ready to launch a new powerful tablet device. There have been not many details regarding this device but there will be dust and waterproofing. The previous Tab Active 2 had an 8-inch display, but this new tablet might well be bigger and better.

Dominated by Apple iPads, the tab category has remarkably high standards and Samsung is going all out to become the new leaders in this region. For now, we are going to wait and see what Samsung’s next move is.
