ASUS earlier promised a timely firmware update to Android Pie on their Zenfone series smartphones.

The ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M1, Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 will benefit under the Android Pie firmware update roll out. While the firmware is still in test mode, users are welcomed to try out the beta mode to test it on their own till the final version is released a month later.

The company announced on their Facebook post that they were ‘deeply sorry’ for missing the previously announced deadline.

We’re bringing the Android Pie to the Zenfone Max Pro M1, Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 latest by April 15th. Thank you all for your patience and continuous support.
