The company has teased the unveiling of something special on August 16. But thanks to leaks, we already know what it is likely going to be.

Xiaomi’s K20 series comprising multiple variants of the Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro was a blast in the smartphone world even before its launch. Its success was likely due to the phone specs hitting all the right checkpoints—A pop-up camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, latest snapdragon processors, lots of RAM, AMOLED screens, big batteries and even fast charging.

The phone’s ‘flagship killer 2.0’ title put it up against the likes of the latest OnePlus devices, which were significantly more expensive. The K20 even went out and made an avenger edition phone. Now the company has teased the unveiling of something special on August 16. But thanks to leaks, we already know what it is likely going to be.

The K20 Pro series will have a new variant coming soon which will have 12GB RAM, a big bump from the last biggest model, which had 8GB RAM. An official listing of the phone on TENAA revealed a 12GB model in the works. The rest of the phone is expected to be the same.

The announcement could also launch a transparent variant of the K20 Pro according to some rumours, which also spoke about pink, white, green, purple and gray colour options.
