The Realme 5 series are set to go live in an event on August 20. The smartphones are set to release with quad camera setups with sensors for ultrawide angle, super macro, and portrait mode photography.
We didn’t know much about the primary camera until now. The company has recently confirmed the primary sensor to be a Sony IMX586 which is the 48MP sensor you see on phones like the OnePlus 7 and the Redmi K20. The sensor uses the quad-bayer technology to combine the light of four pixels into one to get better pictures, especially in low light environments.
While more details on the Realme 5 series are unknown at the moment, there’s not much waiting left as the phone is set to unveil next Tuesday.
