A Qualcomm official has spilled the beans on Apple’s next major iPhone launch.

Qualcomm’s CFO Akash Palkhiwala has revealed a feature which every Apple fan should be thrilled about — the next lineup of iPhones are all coming with 5G.

The iPhone 11 series are great smartphones and thanks in part to it having all the essential upgrades that make it one of the best iPhones to ever have launched. However, this lineup may be classified as safe as next year’s models will come with radical upgrades that even their partners have started teasing them.

As per a report by Apple Insider, Qualcomm’s CFO Akash Palkhiwala has revealed a feature which every Apple fan should be thrilled about — the next lineup of iPhones are all coming with 5G.

At Qualcomm’s earning reveal, Palkhiwala states that the company would be readying to ship a whopping 200 million units of its 5G smartphone chip thanks to "two inflection points" in 2020.

The first is undoubtedly the Galaxy S11 which has been heavily leaked and its debut is expected to take place in February. The second comes during the fall time period wherein another set of flagships would adopt 5G.

The fall launch period is pretty obvious what Palkhiwala is talking about. And a report by Forbes states, “The only major smartphone upgrades which launch in the fall are the new Galaxy Note (which has already adopted 5G in 2019), Google’s Pixel 5 (which will move to 5G but doesn’t sell anywhere near enough units to boost Qualcomm numbers so high). And then there’s Apple’s all-new iPhone 12 and the iPhone 11 range took a risk by skipping 5G this year.”

As per Bernstein analyst Stacy Rasgon, Qualcomm’s 200 million estimate shouldn’t come as a surprise given that the 2020 iPhones will come equipped with these chipsets. This bit of information follows in the footsteps of reputed analyst Ming-Chi Kuo’s statements who claimed that every 2020 iPhone will come equipped with 5G.

What’s even better is that 5G is just the beginning for these new iPhones as they are expected to come with a new design, newer display sizes, iPad Pro’s ProMotion displays, USB Type-C connectivity and a long-range 3D camera.
