Ming-Chi Kuo, a well know Apple analyst from KGI Securities, has issued an investors note stating that the new OLED display that Apple is using in the next-generation iPhone is costing the company around $120-$130 i.e. over Rs 7,000.

Apple is set to announce three new iPhone models – a premium model named iPhone 8 and two upgraded iPhone 7 models – iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus – on September 12. Among the three, iPhone 8 will reportedly cost around $999 (approximately Rs 64,000), while the price details of the rest are yet not sure.

According to reports, Apple paid measly $43 for LCD display, almost three times less than what is paying for the OLED.

Among the three iPhone models, successor to iPhone 7 models will be featuring the LCD display.
