Not exactly a budget smartphone, the mid-rangers are touted to start at $399 for the base variant.

As for what we know so far, both the Google Pixel 3a and Google Pixel 3a XL will run off the Snapdragon 670 chipset and sport the same 12MP sensor on the rear.

Google’s I/O is all set to go on stage in San Francisco and there will be a very busy schedule on May 7 for all developers, the media and the tech giant. Apart from announcing the next Android operating system and feeding the power hungry developers, Google is also set to launch two new smartphones on the same day.

There will be two smartphones that would steal the highlight of the show on May 7 — the Google Pixel 3a and Google Pixel 3a XL.

As for what we know so far, both the Google Pixel 3a and Google Pixel 3a XL will run off the Snapdragon 670 chipset and sport the same 12MP sensor on the rear. The only difference between the two variants will be the display size and battery capacity. While the 3a is said to receive a 5.6-inch display and a 3000mAh battery, the larger sibling will see a 6-inch display and a 3700mah battery. It is not yet confirmed whether Google will push an OLED display here or will place an LCD display to cut costs.
