YouTube will be focusing on its audience in India, Germany, Japan, Mexico, and France.

YouTube has already started working on this strategy with a Hindi talk show in India called 'UnCricket' and 'Big Bang', a reality show about a pop band in Korea.

YouTube is all set to target its international market with scripted series and other original programs in local languages to boost its unpaid subscription service.

According to a report by Deadline, with this new project, YouTube will be focusing on its audience in India, Germany, Japan, Mexico, and France. Susanne Daniels, YouTube's global head of original programming, says the project will include reality series, talk shows, scripted series and music documentaries.

The programs would be in local languages and will also have subtitles to attract a wider range of audience. "We are targeting markets where we believe we have a tremendous upside in potential subscribers," Daniels said.
