Instagram’s latest feature lets you add an element of drama to your videos.

Instagram’s latest feature Superzoom lets users take their own zoomed-in shots, reminiscent of the ‘Dramatic Chipmunk’ video that hit the internet years ago.

The new feature that is available both on Instagram Stories on iOS and Android will also have a set of Halloween stickers and augmented reality masks. Superzoom joins Instagram’s Boomerang GIFs, Hyperlapse time-lapse and Layout collages among its tool kit of extra camera effects. Highlight the tool in the story camera, choose the front or rear-facing camera, and then tap the button. Users will be able to create a 3-second Superzoom video with a single tap. Users can also hold down the shutter button longer to extend them up to 15 seconds, which will end with a slow final zoom on the subject. The Superzoom comes with its own dramatic music to heighten the effect.

The video can be posted to ‘Story’, Instagram Direct or can be saved to the camera roll for posting elsewhere later.
