Lenovo is one of the most diverse Android tablet manufacturers in the world, having a tablet for every price point. Recently they added two more tablets to their budget portfolio. The tablets in question are Lenovo Tab 7 and Tab 7 Essential.
The Tab 7 ships with a 7-inch IPS LCD display of 1280x720 resolution, a MediaTek MT8161 chipset with a quad-core CPU and 1GB RAM,/16GB storage and two cameras - a 5MP on the front and 2MP on the back. Its Dolby Atmos certified as well.
The Tab 7 Essential is even cheaper with a 7-inch IPS LCD but of lower 1024x600 resolution. The chipset is MT8167D with another quad-core CPU and 1GB RAM, while storage is unchanged at 16GB. Both tablets ship with Android 7.0 Nougat and supports WiFi but lack the SIM slot.
Lenovo claims that the tablets can last up to 15 hours on single charge. These tablets seem to be targeted at first-time tablet users and children. Lenovo has unveiled the US pricing which lists Tab 7 at $99.99 (Rs 6500) and Tab 7 Essential at $79.99 (Rs 5200). There is no confirmation as to when the tablets will be available in India.
