The new ‘phone screen’ feature will be available for Windows Insiders this week.

Microsoft is running a limited beta of a new screen mirroring feature that allows Android apps to be run directly on a Windows 10 PC.

The new ‘phone screen’ feature will be available for Windows Insiders this week. It requires one to have the latest test builds of Windows 10 and the Your Phone app, as explained on the official Microsoft forum.

The feature works by mirroring a phone screen straight onto Windows 10 and allows one to pick from the list of Android app to run on the PC.

Currently, the feature is only available on select Android phones running Android 7.0 or greater, including the Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy S9, and Samsung Galaxy S9+.

The PC also needs to support Bluetooth with Low Energy Peripheral mode, for the feature to work. More devices will be added to support the feature.
