Google is now letting app developers buy websites ending with .app, a top-level domain.

At a time when new apps are taking over websites at a fast pace, a new domain name has got the tech world talking. The top-level domain .app, purchased by Google, in 2015, is open for public. “We created the .app TLD specifically for apps and app developers, with added security to help you showcase your apps to the world. Even if you spend your days working in the world of mobile apps, you can still benefit from a home on the web,” Google writes on its official blog.

Go to get.app and check whether the domain name you desire is available. Till May 7, users can register the domain with Google’s Early Access Programme.
