Thomson introduces 50 and 55-inch UHD TVs in India

The new televisions come with a brand new UI and pricing starts at Rs 33,999.

The televisions are made using Samsung’s panels that feature a 16:9 aspect ratio and boast a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels.

French-based television manufacturer has expanded on its television line-up and introduced a 50 and a 55-inch UHD Smart TVs. The brand has re-entered the Indian market after an almost 15-year gap and has witnessed a surge in its demand from all over the country, especially from the smart TV buyer segment. These televisions will be sold as a Flipkart exclusive and with pricing starting at Rs 33,999.

The Thomson UD9 series of televisions come pre-installed with an all-new MyWall UI which runs on Android 5.1.1 and offers a host of applications including Hotstar, Netflix,  YouTube and more. Apart from this, the televisions are made using Samsung’s panels that feature a 16:9 aspect ratio and boast a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. The televisions are powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor and a Mali-T720 GPU that’s paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of onboard storage.

The televisions come with a variety of picture modes that include Standard, Lightness, Soft, Vivid and more. Thomson has added 20W speakers that support an equaliser and bass as well as treble modes. Connectivity options on these TVs include 3 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports, an Ethernet port, an SD card slot, a PC in, an RF input and an AV in.

The 50-inch Thomson 50TH1000 is priced at Rs 33,999 and the 55-inch Thomson 55TH1000 costs Rs 39,999 and are already available on Flipkart.
